The primary repair of digital flexor tendons
British Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1982This paper presents the results of 80 out of 98 severed flexor tendons repaired between 1976 and January 1981 using the Kleinert technique with immediate dynamic splintage. In this series 13 repairs were in the thumb and 85 in the fingers (19 in Zone 1; 66 in Zone 2). Only 10% of the injuries were industrial. A total of 80 tendon repairs were available

Primary Knee Ligament Repair-Revisited
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1985There were 4710 knee sprains resulting from skiing in the four Aspen ski areas between 1976 and 1979. Twenty percent of the patients (942) had complete tears. Of these, 302 elected to remain in Aspen for treatment. All were treated by primary ligament repair without augmentation. This procedure, including preoperative assessment and postoperative management, falls in the middle of the spectrum of difficulty of all the congenital cardiac procedures.

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, 1967Summarythe follow‐up of a patient who sustained a rupture of the deep urethra and ensuing multiple fistulae, first seen eighteen months after injury in 1957, shows eight years after reconstruction, and nine and one half years after the original injury, a result which should encourage all surgeons to attempt this reconstruction.
