Se estudió la composición y distribución de las Selvas Pedemontanas y de las Selvas y Bosques Montanos, habitat de Cebus apella en el noroeste argentino, llegándose a la conclusión que las mismas son el producto de la historia biogeográfica de la región, asociado a los eventos árido húmedos del Pleistoceno.
