Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Stretched horizon, replica trick and off-shell winding condensate, and all that
α ′ corrections to near horizon dynamics of a Schwarzschild black hole in a large number of spacetime dimensions D are governed by the worldsheet theory composed of the cigar CFT and the classical sigma model on the sphere at the horizon, along with a ...

Excitation-detector principle and the algebraic theory of planon-only Abelian fracton orders
We study Abelian planon-only fracton orders: a class of three-dimensional (3d) gapped quantum phases in which all fractional excitations are Abelian particles restricted to move in planes with a common normal direction.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

As one of the seven Millennium Prize Problems proposed by the Clay Mathematics Institute, the Hodge Conjecture focuses on establishing the in-depth connection between the topological and algebraic properties of complex algebraic varieties. Traditional research is mostly confined to classical mathematical branches, making it difficult to break through ...

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

On the linear complexity of a new generalized cyclotomic sequence with length mover GF(h)
Based on the Ding-generalized cyclotomy,a new class of generalized cyclotomic sequences with length pm over the finite field of power of odd prime order was constructed, and the sequence was balanced. The linear complexity of the sequences was determined ...
