On commutativity of prime and semiprime rings with generalized derivations

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2020
Let $R$ be a prime ring, extended centroid $C$ and $m, n, k \geq1$ are fixed integers. If $R$ admits a generalized derivation $F$ associated with a derivation $d$ such that $(F(x)\circ y)^{m}+(x\circ d(y))^{n}=0$ or $(F(x)\circ_{m} y)^{k} + x\circ_{n} d ...

A THEOREM ON DERIVATIONS ON PRIME RINGS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2011
AbstractLet R be a prime ring, let I be a nonzero ideal of R and let n be a fixed positive integer. We prove that if the characteristic of R is either 0 or a prime p that is greater than 2n, then an additive map d that satisfies d(xn+1)=∑ nj=0xn−jd(x)xj for all x∈I must be a derivation.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Derivations on Right Ideals of Prime Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
[[abstract]]Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, d a non-zero derivation of R and I a non-zero right ideal of R such that [d(x)xn, d(y)] = 0, for all x, y 2 I.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Derivations in differentially prime rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Earlier properties of Lie rings [Formula: see text] of derivations in commutative differentially prime rings [Formula: see text] was investigated by many authors.

Generalized Munn rings

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2022
Generalized Munn rings exist extensively in the theory of rings. The aim of this note is to answer when a generalized Munn ring is primitive (semiprimitive, semiprime and prime, respectively).

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Polynomial Poisson algebras: Gel'fand-Kirillov problem and Poisson spectra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the fields of fractions and the Poisson spectra of polynomial Poisson algebras. First we investigate a Poisson birational equivalence problem for polynomial Poisson algebras over a field of arbitrary characteristic.
