Primitive accumulation and ‘progress’ in Southeast Asia: the diverse legacies of a common(s) tragedy
More than any other scholar, James C. Scott has drawn attention to the significance of what Marx termed ‘primitive accumulation’ in the historical transformation of the societies of Southeast Asia.

A Reconfigurable Memristive Spiking Neuron Enabling Advanced Neuromorphic Computing
Pek Jun Tiw and co‐workers develop a reconfigurable memristive neuron that can exhibit four spiking behaviors with freely tunable spike train parameters. The neuron supports multiplexed spike encoding of multiple pieces of information. It also supports advanced neural network strategies, such as neural heterogeneity and dynamic mode switching ...

Probabilistic Computing via Gate‐Tunable Random Telegraph Noise
Intrinsic random telegraph noise in metal–oxide–semiconductor field‐effect transistors is harnessed to create gate‐tunable probabilistic bits. By modulating carrier‐trapping dynamics, the device produces stochastic binary outputs with a continuous bias‐to‐probability transfer.

SAV1 in Cooperation With FKBP52 Participates in Implantation
The MST‐SAV1 complex modulates FKBP52 phosphorylation to fine‐tune PR activity, ensuring timely uterine transition to receptivity under estrogen signaling for implantation. Stromal SAV1 scaffolds MST1/2‐mediated FKBP52 phosphorylation via noncanonical Hippo to promote PR activity.

Endowing Flexibility of Alveolar Type II Cells to Recapitulate Development From Lung Bud to Alveoli
Adult human alveolar type 2 cells are chemically reprogrammed into expandable alveolar progenitor‐like cells that acquire bud tip‐like features during expansion and form organoids that mature into alveolar‐like structures. These organoids model influenza A virus infection and innate immune responses in vitro, while transplanted cells engraft ...

Closing the Loop: High‐Precision 3D Photofabrication in Living Tissues
Writing 3D microstructures inside living tissue demands more than laser access; It demands information. Hierarchical sensing captures thermal and mechanical states across pulse‐train, voxel, and structure timescales, feeding a controller that steers the laser in real time.

Overcoming Out‐of‐Plane Conduction by Changing Nanosheet Morphology
HTaWO6 membrane made of stacked nanotubes exhibits high out‐of‐plane proton conductivity of 1.7 mS/cm. High current density (1.26 A cm−2) and power density (294 mW cm−2) indicate the potential as a fuel‐cell electrolyte. The morphology‐driven strategy establishes topology engineering as a new design principle for efficient ion transport in two ...
