Voltage‐Reconfigurable Magneto‐Ionic Nanolayers in Dot Arrays for Probabilistic, Materials‐Engineered Security Primitives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A magneto‐ionic security‐by‐materials‐design strategy exploits voltage‐driven N3– migration in selectively contacted FeCoN dots, creating reconfigurable sub‐15 nm ferromagnetic sublayers with deterministic and/or probabilistic (single‐domain↔vortex) states, voltage‐tunable probabilities and fully stochastic orientation/chirality.

Turning Land into Capital, Turning People into Labor: Primitive Accumulation and the Arrival of Large-Scale Economic Land Concessions in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic

open access: yesNew Proposals, 2011
In recent years the Lao government has provided many foreign investors with large-scale economic land concessions to develop plantations. These concessions have resulted in significant alterations of landscapes and ecological processes, greatly reduced ...

Intrinsic Phonons as a Dynamic Control Knob for Catalytic Reactivity in 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic phonon excitations are demonstrated to serve as a dynamic control knob for catalytic reactivity in 2D materials. Mode‐selective lattice vibrations reconstruct the electronic structure, lower oxygen evolution reaction barriers, establishing a phonon‐engineering paradigm for dynamically regulating electrocatalysis beyond conventional static ...

Geometry‐Encoded Actuation as a Structural Interaction Layer in Origami Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present geometry‐encoded actuation (GEA), a design framework that integrates multistable origami with liquid crystal elastomer actuators to encode environmental interactions into autonomous structural responses. GEA enables programmable shape transformation without continuous sensing or complex control, achieving robust adaptive manipulation and ...

Process of Primitive Accumulation on the Polish Territories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Internal sources of accumulation played a decisive role on the Polish territories. The main part of resources was extracted from agriculture. The process of primitive accumulation in agriculture was affected by several essential elements.

What was primitive accumulation? Reconstructing the origin of a critical concept

open access: yes, 2017
The ongoing critical redeployment of primitive accumulation proceeds under two premises. First, it is argued that Marx, erroneously, confined primitive accumulation to the earliest history of capitalism.

Receptogenesis in a Vascularized Robotic Embodiment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Functional augmentation of situated robots via ex novo hardware generation extends physical adaptability. Drawing inspiration from open circulatory systems for mass and function redistribution, this study presents a vascularized robotic composite exhibiting receptogenesis ‐ the on‐demand construction of sensors ‐ from internal fluid reserves based on ...

Revealing the Underlying Mechanisms in Performance Enhancement of Shellular Lattice Electrodes During Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micro laser powder bed fusion enables architected nickel shellular lattice gas diffusion layers for anion exchange membrane water electrolysis. Among regular open cell geometries, the Gyroid lattice promotes bubble release, convective reactant replenishment and continuous electron transport, delivering low overpotentials, enhanced charge transfer and ...

In Vivo Direct Reprogramming: Current Progress and Future Prospects from Mechanisms to Therapeutic Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review examines the potential of in vivo direct reprogramming in regenerative medicine for functional tissue restoration, highlighting the role of tissue‐resident cues in generating functionally mature reprogrammed cells from lineage‐related cells. It contains a discussion on mechanisms, reprogramming factors, delivery approaches, and applications
