Zeros of Primitive Characters in Solvable Groups
Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(p\) a prime. According to Theorem 2.1, if \(\chi\) is a character of \(G\) of \(p'\)-degree, then \(\chi(x)\neq 0\) for each \(x\in G\) such that \(o(x)\) is a power of \(p\). The author asks: Can irreducible characters of \(G\) of \(p\)-power degree vanish on elements of \(p'\)-order?

Prime characters and factorizations of quasi-primitive characters
The authors introduce the notion of prime characters as well as of an admissible set of prime characters. By means of these concepts new results on quasi-primitive irreducible characters are obtained. We define these first. A character \(\chi\) of G is a prime character if \(\chi\) is non-linear, irreducible, quasi-primitive, \(M^*_ G(\chi)\) is ...

Finite Groups Having Monolithic Characters of Prime Degree
Let G be a finite group. An irreducible character χ is called monolithic when the factor group G/ker(χ) has unique minimal normal subgroup. In this paper, we prove that for the smallest prime q dividing the order of G if G has a faithful imprimitive ...

Summary: Let \(G\) be a finite group. An irreducible character \(\chi\) of \(G\) is said to be primitive if \(\chi \neq \vartheta^G\) for any character \(\vartheta\) of a proper subgroup of \(G\). In this paper, we consider about the zeros of primitive characters.

The cranial endocast of Dipnorhynchus sussmilchi (Sarcopterygii: Dipnoi) and the interrelationships of stem-group lungfishes [PDF]
The first virtual cranial endocast of a lungfish from the Early Devonian, Dipnorhynchus sussmilchi, is described. Dipnorhynchus, only the fourth Devonian lungfish for which a near complete cranial endocast is known, is a key taxon for clarifying ...

The Sum of a Finite Group of Weights of a Hopf Algebra
Motivated by the orthogonality relations for irreducible characters of a finite group, we evaluate the sum of a finite group of linear characters of a Hopf algebra, at all grouplike and skew-primitive elements.

Morpho-anatomical characters of the achene in certain species of sub-family Rosoideae (Rosaceae), a comparative study [PDF]
The morpho-anatomical characters of 18 species belonging to six genera of sub-family Rosoideae wereinvestigated. The anatomical characters of both the pericarp and testa were found to be impracticable for speciesdelimitation since they are consistent at ...
