Perceived Importance and Bundles of Ecosystem Services in the Yangtze River Middle Reaches Megalopolis, China

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2021
In this study, a survey with 4,580 residents in the Yangtze River Middle Reaches Megalopolis, central China, was conducted to assess the perceived importance of local ESs.

Equivariant Diffusions on Principal Bundles [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Studies in Pure Mathematics, 2010
Given a pair of second order diffusion operators, one on the total space of a principle bundle $N$ and the other on the base space $M$, intertwined by the projection $ :N\to M$, if the operator ${\mathcal A}$ on the base manifold has constant rank, we define a semi-connection on the principal bundle which allows to split the diffusion operator ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

The Moduli Space of Principal G2-Bundles and Automorphisms

open access: yesMathematics
Let X be a compact Riemann surface of genus g≥2 and M(G2) be the moduli space of polystable principal bundles over X, the structure group of which is the simple complex Lie group of exceptional type G2.

Connections on locally trivial quantum principal fibre bundles

open access: yes, 2000
Following the approach of Budzy\'nski and Kondracki, we define covariant differential algebras and connections on locally trivial quantum principal fibre bundles.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The moduli space of symplectic bundles over a compact Riemann surface and quaternionic structures

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Let $ G = \text{Sp}(4, \mathbb{C}) $, $ K_G $ be a maximal compact subgroup of $ G $, $ H $ be the subgroup of $ G $ generated by one of the non-trivial elements of the quaternion group, viewed as a subgroup of $ G $, and $ X $ be a compact Riemann ...

Variational Principle for Relative Tail Pressure

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
We introduce the relative tail pressure to establish a variational principle for continuous bundle random dynamical systems. We also show that the relative tail pressure is conserved by the principal extension.

An application of Lie groupoids to a rigidity problem of 2-step nilmanifolds [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2019
We study a problem of isometric compact 2-step nilmanifolds $M/\Gamma$ using some information on their geodesic flows, where $M$ is a simply connected 2-step nilpotent Lie group with a left invariant metric and $\Gamma$ is a cocompact discrete subgroup ...

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.
