open access: yesGerman Law Journal, 2007
This contribution will contain an analysis of important European dynamics, particularly at this moment when it seems to be necessary to restart the process of a unified European identity, which was, in a way, compromised after the failure of the EU Constitution and the difficulty of giving effectiveness to democracy:the EC professes democracy without ...

Measure homology and singular homology are isometrically isomorphic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Measure homology is a variation of singular homology designed by Thurston in his discussion of simplicial volume. Zastrow and Hansen showed independently that singular homology (with real coefficients) and measure homology coincide algebraically on the ...

Piecewise straightening and Lipschitz simplicial volume [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study the Lipschitz simplicial volume, which is a metric version of the simplicial volume. We introduce the piecewise straightening procedure for singular chains, which allows us to generalize the proportionality principle and the product inequality ...

(Bounded) continuous cohomology and Gromov proportionality principle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Let X be a topological space, and let C(X) be the complex of singular cochains on X with real coefficients. We denote by Cc(X) the subcomplex given by continuous cochains, i.e.

CD9‐association with PIP2 areas is regulated by a CD9 salt bridge

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The tetraspanin CD9 has an intracellular salt bridge. If CD9 opens, open‐CD9 moves from PIP2‐rich areas to regions populated by its interaction partner EWI‐2. Hence, the state of the salt bridge regulates the distribution of CD9 and by this CD9‐EWI‐2 complex formation.
