This review investigates the processing‐microstructure‐property relationships in ferritic stainless steels (FSSs). It highlights advances in deformation behavior, heat treatments, surface modifications, and alloying effects. Theoretical models, including Johnson‐Mehl‐Avrami‐Kolmogorov, Arrhenius, nucleation theory, and diffusion theories, are discussed

Prior Austenite Grain Size Controlled by Precipitates
During this study, the correlation between the evolution of the prior austenitic grain size and of the precipitation state during thermal treatment performed on steels is presented. To do this, the precipitation state has been finely characterized. Precipitate volume fractions were measured by plasma spectroscopy. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

The processability of the E11018‐G by laser powder directed energy deposition (LP‐DED) is investigated. The effects of powder moisture, ambient humidity, and laser remelting on LP‐DED parts’ porosity are shown. A strong influence of the atomizing gas is observed.

By applying solution heat treatment after plasma nitriding, followed by requenching and tempering, researchers successfully obtained nitrogen‐rich martensite on AISI 409. This study compares the intergranular corrosion resistance and hardness of nitrogen‐rich martensite in AISI 409 with carbon‐rich martensite in AISI 420.

Electrolytic and Chemical Etching : To Reveal Prior Austenite Grain Size (PAGS)
Prior austenite grain size (PAGS) describes the grain structure formed during the hightemperature austenitization that remains after quenching. This microstructure greatly influences mechanical properties such as strength, toughness, and wear resistance.

Effect of Ti and C Contents on Prior Austenite Grain Size in Ti Added Steels
Prior austenite grain size plays an important role in the production of high strength hot-rolled steel. This study investigated the effect of Ti and C contents on the precipitates and prior austenite grain size. Steel with no Ti solutes had prior austenite grain size of about 620 .

Coarse austenite grains are unavoidable in the low carbon steels processed by twin-roll strip casting. Unfortunately, the polygonal ferrite (PF) grains cannot be refined by conventional on-line cooling process, resulting in low strength. In this work, an
