SHEAR RESISTANT METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING THE HEART OF A STATOR TURBOGENERATOR DURING THE OPERATION PROCESS

open access: yesElektrotehnìka ta Elektroenergetika, 2019
Purpose. The aim of the work is to create a new method and device for monitoring the integrity of the coupling prisms, which will allow, with minor improvements in the design of individual measuring prisms, to obtain information on the state (damage) of ...

PRISMS: remote high resolution in situ multispectral imaging of wall paintings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The non-invasive monitoring and examination of wall paintings in grotto sites, tombs and buildings is particularly important since these paintings are often extremely vulnerable. Traditionally, inspection of wall paintings at high resolution (i.e.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Analysis on Flow Induced Motion of Cylinders with Different Cross Sections and the Potential Capacity of Energy Transference from the Flow

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
The energy in flow induced motion (FIM) was harnessed in recent years. In this study, the energy transfer ratio was derived to estimate the energy transference from the flow to the FIM.

Factors influencing long-term outcomes in relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis: PRISMS-15

open access: yesJournal of Neurology Neurosurgery & Psychiatry, 2015
Aim An exploratory study of the relationship between cumulative exposure to subcutaneous (sc) interferon (IFN) β-1a treatment and other possible prognostic factors with long-term clinical outcomes in relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Methods

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Inflations of ideal triangulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Starting with an ideal triangulation of the interior of a compact 3-manifold M with boundary, no component of which is a 2-sphere, we provide a construction, called an inflation of the ideal triangulation, to obtain a strongly related triangulations of M

Flip-chip assembly of VCSELs to silicon grating couplers via laser fabricated SU8 prisms.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
This article presents the flip-chip bonding of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) to silicon grating couplers (GCs) via SU8 prisms. The SU8 prisms are defined on top of the GCs using non-uniform laser ablation process.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
