Effect of bedding mortar with low strength and high entrained air content on the strain and failure mode of masonry prisms under compression [PDF]
Brazilian standards regarding structural masonry does not consider the effect of bedding mortar properties on the strength and failure mode of masonry. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of bedding mortars with low strength and ...

Local light-ray rotation [PDF]
We present a sheet structure that rotates the local ray direction through an arbitrary angle around the sheet normal. The sheet structure consists of two parallel Dove-prism sheets, each of which flips one component of the local direction of transmitted ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

BTZ Black Hole Entropy from Ponzano-Regge Gravity [PDF]
The entropy of the BTZ black hole is computed in the Ponzano-Regge formulation of three-dimensional lattice gravity. It is seen that the correct semi-classical behaviour of entropy is reproduced by states that correspond to all possible triangulations of

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Perluasan Masalah Isoperimetrik pada Bangun Ruang
In this paper, several extensions of the isoperimetric problem in solid figures are explored, focusing on oblique and right prisms with rectangular, right-angled triangular, and regular hexagonal bases. The objective of this research is to find the prism

Prisms and Prismatic Cohomology
We introduce the notion of a prism, which may be regarded as a "deperfection" of the notion of a perfectoid ring. Using prisms, we attach a ringed site --- the prismatic site --- to a $p$-adic formal scheme. The resulting cohomology theory specializes to
