This paper proposes a practical design of proba-bilistic constellation shaping (PCS) for physical layer security in visible light communications. In particular, the $M$ -ary PAM symbol distribution is optimized to maximize the secrecy capacity given ...

We report long-haul transmissions of single-carrier 300 GBd dual-polarization signals with optical arbitrary waveform generation and measurement. We demonstrate net 1.6 Tb/s over 9075 km with PCS-16QAM and 2.4 Tb/s over 1210 km with PCS-36QAM.

We show up to 250 Gbps per carrier transmission is achievable with digital coherent technologies at 65dB link-loss. We jointly optimize symbol-rate, probabilistic shaping and interleaving while replicating strong turbulence conditions.

Probabilistic Constellation Shaping for OFDM ISAC Signals Under Temporal-Frequency Filtering
IEEE Transactions on Wireless CommunicationsIntegrated sensing and communications (ISAC) is considered an innovative technology in sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks, where utilizing orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication signals for sensing provides a cost-effective ...

On the optimum decision threshold for probabilistically shaped PAM constellation
CLEO Pacific Rim Conference, 2018We investigate and derive the optimum decision threshold for probabilistically shaped PAM constellation. Both in simulation and experiment, we verify our anaysis and show a lower BER performance compared with the conventional median threshold.

On Optimal Probabilistically Shaped Constellations for Unamplified Optical Interconnects
Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2025We discuss a generalized method to determine the optimal probabilistically shaped constellation for a peak-power constraint system limited by transceiver impairments. We study the shaping gains under different system conditions and their corresponding optimal distributions.
