An approximation method for Navier-Stokes equations based on probabilistic approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A new layer method solving the space-periodic problem for the Navier-Stokes equations is constructed by using probabilistic representations of their solutions.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Statistical Convergence in Strong Topology of Probabilistic Normed Spaces

open access: yes, 2009
EnFollowing the concept of statistical convergence, we define and study statistical analogue concepts of convergence and Cauchy’s sequence on a probabilistic normed space that is endowed with a strong topology.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

African buffalo algorithm: Training the probabilistic neural network to solve classification problems

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2022
Classification is used to categorize data and produce decisions for several domains. To improve the accuracy of classification, researchers have tended to hybridize the neural network with other metaheuristic algorithms in order to better exploit and ...

Upper approximating probabilities of convergence in probabilistic coherence spaces

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
We develop a theory of probabilistic coherence spaces equipped with an additional extensional structure and apply it to approximating probability of convergence of ground type programs of probabilistic PCF whose free variables are of ground types. To this end we define an adapted version of Krivine Machine which computes polynomial approximations of ...

Generalized ideal convergence in probabilistic normed spaces [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Classical Analysis, 2013
Summary: The aim of this paper is to introduce and study the notion of \(I_\lambda\)-convergence in probabilistic normed space as a variant of the notion of ideal convergence. Also, \(I_\lambda\)-limit point and \(I_\lambda\)-cluster point hase been defined and the relation between them have been established.

Hybrid Monte Carlo on Hilbert spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The Hybrid Monte Carlo (HMC) algorithm provides a framework for sampling from complex, high-dimensional target distributions. In contrast with standard Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms, it generates nonlocal, nonsymmetric moves in the state ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A Heuristic Rapidly-Exploring Random Trees Method for Manipulator Motion Planning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In order to plan the robot path in 3D space efficiently, a modified Rapidly-exploring Random Trees based on heuristic probability bias-goal (PBG-RRT) is proposed.
