Understanding Team Collapse via Probabilistic Graphical Models

open access: yesProceedings of the 31st ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining V.1
In this work, we develop a graphical model to capture team dynamics. We analyze the model and show how to learn its parameters from data. Using our model we study the phenomenon of team collapse from a computational perspective. We use simulations and real-world experiments to find the main causes of team collapse.

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery
