Vulnerability of f(Q) gravity theory and a possible resolution
Both the generalized teleparallel theories of gravity suffer from some serious problems. The strong coupling issue appearing as a consequence of extra degrees of freedom in the “generalized metric teleparallel gravity” theory prompted to ...

Grain boundary triple junctions are an essential ingredient of the microstructure of polycrystalline materials. In this study, a triple junction is observed using atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and characterized. Computer simulations reveal that the junction has a dislocation character that is determined by the joining ...

Classic machine learning and regime identification methods applied to financial time series lack theoretical guarantees and exhibit systematic failure modes: heavy-tails invalidate moment-based geometry, rendering distances and centroids dominated by ...

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Orlicz Metrics Derive from a Single Probabilistic Metric
It is shown that the same probabilistic metric as used by Schweizer and Sklar to obtain all $L^p$ space metrics can be used to drive the metrics of Orlicz ...

Some Results on Best Proximity Points of Cyclic Contractions in Probabilistic Metric Spaces
This paper investigates properties of convergence of distances of -cyclic contractions on the union of the subsets of an abstract set defining probabilistic metric spaces and Menger probabilistic metric spaces as well as the characterization of Cauchy ...

Can continuous motion be an illusion? [PDF]
It is widely accepted that continuity is the most essential characteristic of motion; the motion of macroscopic objects is apparently continuous, and classical mechanics, which describes such motion, is also based on the assumption of continuous motion ...
