Bayesian Analysis of Unit Log-Logistic Distribution Using Non-Informative Priors
The unit log-logistic distribution is a suitable choice for modeling data enclosed within the unit interval. In this paper, estimating the parameters of the unit-log-logistic distribution is performed through a Bayesian approach with non-informative ...

Bayesian analysis for the Lomax model using noninformative priors
The Lomax distribution is an important member in the distribution family. In this paper, we systematically develop an objective Bayesian analysis of data from a Lomax distribution. Noninformative priors, including probability matching priors, the maximal

Hellinger Information Matrix and Hellinger Priors
Hellinger information as a local characteristic of parametric distribution families was first introduced in 2011. It is related to the much older concept of the Hellinger distance between two points in a parametric set.

Bayesian 14C-rationality, Heisenberg Uncertainty, and Fourier Transform
Following some 30 years of radiocarbon research during which the mathematical principles of 14C-calibration have been on loan to Bayesian statistics, here they are returned to quantum physics.

On the origins of suboptimality in human probabilistic inference.
Humans have been shown to combine noisy sensory information with previous experience (priors), in qualitative and sometimes quantitative agreement with the statistically-optimal predictions of Bayesian integration.

On the Development of Probability Matching Priors for Non-regular Pareto Distribution [PDF]
In this paper, we develop the probability matching priors for the parameters of non-regular Pareto distribution. We prove the propriety of joint posterior distribution induced by probability matching priors. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed probability matching Prior matches the coverage probabilities in a frequentist sense.

Improved stereo image matching using mutual information and hierarchical prior probabilities [PDF]
Mutual information (MI) has shown promise as an effective stereo matching measure for images affected by radiometric distortion. This is due to the robustness of MI against changes in illumination. However MI-based approaches are particularly prone to the generation of false matches due to the small statistical power of the matching windows.

On the implementation of local probability matching priors for interest parameters [PDF]
Summary: Probability matching priors are priors for which the posterior probabilities of certain specified sets are exactly or approximately equal to their coverage probabilities. These priors arise as solutions of partial differential equations that may be difficult to solve, either analytically or numerically. Recently, \textit{R. A.

Objective Bayesian Inference for Differential Effects in Unequal-Variance Two-Sample Normal Models
In this paper, we develop a unified objective Bayesian framework for inference on the differential effect in the unequal-variance two-sample normal model.

A Simple Analysis of the Exact Probability Matching Prior in the Location-Scale Model [PDF]
It has long been asserted that in univariate location-scale models, when concerned with inference for either the location or scale parameter, the use of the inverse of the scale parameter as a Baye...
