Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor–Related Myositis and Associated Triad Overlap Syndrome

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) myositis is a rare but a highly morbid condition, particularly with the ICI myositis triad syndrome of myositis, myocarditis, and myasthenia gravis. We report the clinical characteristics of ICI myositis and all‐cause mortality in these patients.

Prevalence of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in Australia, 2010–2022: A Population‐Based Study Using Linked National Administrative Health Data

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a heterogenous inflammatory condition with widely varying global prevalence estimates. The frequency of SLE in the general population of Australia has been reported to be notably lower than contemporary estimates in countries such as the United States or United Kingdom, at 19 to 39 per 100,000 as opposed ...

Minimal Important Change and Minimal Clinically Important Difference in Pain and Function With Exercise in Hip Osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The objective of this study was to estimate the minimal important change (MIC) and minimal clinically important difference (MCID) for pain and physical function in individuals with hip osteoarthritis (OA) following a physiotherapist‐guided exercise intervention.

High Health Care Utilization Preceding Diagnosis With Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Although early diagnosis improves long‐term outcomes, patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) often experience prolonged, circuitous paths to diagnosis. To inform diagnostic improvement, we sought to characterize health care utilization in the year preceding diagnosis. Methods We identified 10,021 patients with an incident diagnosis

The Sturm-Liouville Hierarchy of evolution equations and the Weyl functions of related spectral problems

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations
The goal of the present paper is that of defining the so-called Sturm-Liouville hierarchy of evolution equations, firstly by using the zero-curvature formalism, then by using the asymptotic properties of the Weyl $m$-functions for certain classes of pairs $(q,y)$ of the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue equation $$-φ''+qφ=λyφ,$$ in the space $L^2(\mathbb R ...

Inverse problems for abstract evolution equations with applications in electrodynamics and elasticity

open access: yes, 2016
It is common knowledge { mainly based on experience { that parameter identification problems in partial differential equations are ill-posed. Yet, a mathematical sound argumentation is missing, except for some special cases.
