Analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates by matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry: An update for 2021–2022

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 213-453, May/June 2025.
Abstract The use of matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry for the analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates is a well‐established technique and this review is the 12th update of the original article published in 1999 and brings coverage of the literature to the end of 2022.

Broad‐Spectrum Antimicrobial and Antibiofilm Activities of Halogenated Anilines Against Uropathogenic Escherichia coli and ESKAPE Pathogens

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 18, Issue 5, May 2025.
This study evaluates the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of halogen‐substituted aniline derivatives, 4‐bromo‐3‐chloroaniline (4B3CA) and 3,5‐dibromoaniline (3,5‐DBA), against uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) and some ESKAPE pathogens, with MICs of 200 and 100 μg/mL, respectively, and a common biofilm IC50 of 10 μg/mL.

Development Of An Inhibitive Acetylcholinesterase-Based Assay For Insecticides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An inhibition study on Pangasius pangasius brain Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) was conducted. A custom-synthesized affinity column chromatography utilizing activated Sephacryl S-1000 was successfully coupled to procainamide. AChE loaded onto the column and

Role of Routine Electrophysiological Study Performed During Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement to Predict AV Block

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 377-385, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Periprocedural electrophysiological (EP) testing may be useful to predict high degree atrioventricular block (HAVB) risk in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Objective To determine whether pre‐ and immediate post‐TAVR ECG and HV interval findings are predictive of HAVB.

Coexistence of Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia and Idiopathic Left Ventricular Outflow-Tract Tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Double tachycardia is a relatively rare condition. We describe a 21 year old woman with history of frequent palpitations. In one of these episodes, she had wide complex tachycardia with right bundle branch and inferior axis morphology.

Facial Myokymia With or Without Concurrent Neurological Deficits in Seven Dogs and Two Cats

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Volume 39, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Myokymia is a form of peripheral nerve hyperexcitability that can be focal or generalized. Information regarding focal myokymia in veterinary medicine is currently limited, resulting in a need for a better understanding of this clinical sign.
