Service Capability: Capability Quality and Capability Process

2013
Along with the arrival of the service economy, more and more companies start to pay attention to service capability, but how to enhance the service capability effectively, is still a theoretical and academic question to solve. This paper argue that the nature of service capacity is essentially a kind of energy, and defines the service capability from ...

Dynamic capabilities in the software process

International Journal of Information Technology and Management, 2009
Software development is an important dynamic capability of a software-developing organisation. This paper explores product development in general and software development in particular from the viewpoint of the dynamic capabilities research stream that is associated with the Resource-based View (RBV) of the firm.

Identifying the Process Capability of the Ontology Development Processes

2010 IEEE/ACIS 9th International Conference on Computer and Information Science, 2010
Identifying what to improve can be first step for improving something. To construct the product with good quality, process is more critical than the testing after development. It is the reason why the development process is important and why we should improve the process.

Process capability in services

International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, 2007
PurposeThe purpose of this research is to develop an index for assessing service capability when the customer considers satisfactory a certain range of service performance, the so‐called zone of tolerance.Design/methodology/approachLiterature on service research and statistical process control (SPC) was used to develop a conceptual approach that is ...

A process capability indicator

Total Quality Management, 1993
A new measure of process capability, called process capability indicator and denoted by C1is proposed. It is of the form C1=deviation indicator (DI)+w×variation indicator (VI), where DI and VI, are, respectively, measures of the deviation of the process mean from the target value and the process variation, and both are relative to the tolerance.

Process Analysis and Process Capability

1991
Process analysis is the painstaking observation of a process with the objective of distinguishing between as many important influences or groups of influences as possible and describing them as accurately as possible. In particular the noncorrectable, instantaneous process spread should be determined.

Nonparametric Test on Process Capability

2016
The study of process capability is very important in designing a new product or service and in the definition of purchase agreements. In general we can define capability as the ability of the process to produce conforming products or deliver conforming services.

Process Capability Optimization

Quality Engineering, 2002
This paper presents a multiple objective approach to process capability optimization. It identifies the key input and output variables, provides examples and analysis. The techniques explored are: 1. Finding the mean shift that optimizes various output performance objectives, such as minimizing the fraction nonconforming or maximizing Cpk, and 2 ...
