The inhibition of mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) impairs syncytialization and induces cellular senescence via mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum stress in human trophoblast stem cells, elevating sFlt1/PlGF levels, a hallmark of placental dysfunction in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

A Power Transformation for Non-Normal Processes Capability Estimation
The capability of a process is its ability to produce products that meet predefined requirements in industry and it is measured by capability indices. If data are not normally distributed, other techniques for capability estimation should be taken into ...

Influence of surgery and rehabilitation conditioning on psychophysiological fitness [PDF]
The purpose of this study was to assess changes in psychophysiological fitness following reconstructive knee surgery and early phase (2.5 months) physical rehabilitation. Nine patients (7 male, 2 female; mean age, 29.9 years) electing to undergo anterior

Quantum computational capability of a 2D valence bond solid phase [PDF]
Quantum phases of naturally-occurring systems exhibit distinctive collective phenomena as manifestation of their many-body correlations, in contrast to our persistent technological challenge to engineer at will such strong correlations artificially. Here

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Fuzzy-based functional capability indices for simple linear profile [PDF]
The quality of some processes is defined by a simple linear function between a response and an explanatory variable, which is named a simple linear profile. Various capability indices have been introduced in the literature for these processes.

Fuzzy Testing Model Built on Confidence Interval of Process Capability Index CPMK
A variety of process capability indices are applied to the quantitative measurement of the potential and performance of processes in manufacturing. As it is easy to understand the formulae of these indices, this method is easy to apply.
