Multiview Variational Sparse Gaussian Processes

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2021
Gaussian process (GP) models are flexible nonparametric models widely used in a variety of tasks. Variational sparse GP (VSGP) scales GP models to large data sets by summarizing the posterior process with a set of inducing points. In this article, we extend VSGP to handle multiview data.

Variational Gaussian process classifiers

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 2000
Gaussian processes are a promising nonlinear regression tool, but it is not straightforward to solve classification problems with them. In this paper the variational methods of Jaakkola and Jordan are applied to Gaussian processes to produce an efficient Bayesian binary classifier.

Stochastic Variations in Queuing Processes

Operations Research, 1963
In this paper we consider a queuing process in which there are two mean arrival and service rates. Not only does the system randomly change from one mode of service and arrival to the other, but units arrive at random and require varying amounts of service.

Quadratic Variation Process

1983
For the remainder of this book, we shall only consider integrators M which are continuous local martingales. By Proposition 1.9 these are automatically local L 2-martingales. A more extensive treatment, encompassing right continuous integrators would require more elaborate considerations which are not suitable for inclusion in this short book.

Process Variations and Process-Tolerant Design

20th International Conference on VLSI Design held jointly with 6th International Conference on Embedded Systems (VLSID'07), 2007
While CMOS technology has served semiconductor industry marvelously (by allowing nearly exponential increase in performance and device integration density), it faces some major roadblocks at sub-90nm process nodes due to the intrinsic physical limitations of the devices.

Demographic processes shaping genetic variation

Current Opinion in Plant Biology, 2008
Demographic processes modulate genome-wide levels and patterns of genetic variation via impacting effective population size independently of natural selection. Such processes include the perturbation of population distributions from external events shaping habitat landscape and internal factors shaping the probability of contemporaneous alleles in a ...

Processes of Finite Variation

2015
Given our understanding of general stochastic processes, we now set our sights on establishing a theory of stochastic integration. We do this in stages, beginning with the simple case where we take the integral with respect to a process which does not vary ‘too much’, that is, where its paths are of finite variation for almost all ω. This first step is
