Relating processes with respect to speed
1991In this paper, we consider the problem of defining a preorder on concurrent processes which will distinguish between functionally behaviourally equivalent processes which operate at different speeds. As our basic framework, we use a subset of the calculus TCCS of [Mol90], a language for describing concurrent processes involving timing constraints.

Processing speed, exposure to print, and naming speed
Applied Psycholinguistics, 1999Abstract The aim of the present research was to determine the role of reading-related experience and processing speed on the time it took for children to name familiar stimuli. A total of 168 children, aged 7 to 13, were administered measures of global processing speed, title and author recognition, naming time, and reading ability.
