The Role of Embedded Noun Phrase Syntactic Category in Processing Subject and Object Relative Clauses in Persian [PDF]

open access: yes̒Ilm-i Zabān, 2022
Relative construction is one of the complex syntactic constructions involving various structures depending on the different language typologies. Studies in several languages have shown that subject relative clauses (SRCs) are easier and faster to process

Speed of reaction-transport processes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2001
We present an approach to determining the speed of wave-front solutions to reaction-transport processes. This method is more accurate than previous ones. This is explicitly shown for several cases of practical interest: (i) the anomalous diffusion reaction, (ii) reaction diffusion in an advective field, and (iii) time-delayed reaction diffusion.

Structure Tensor-Based Algorithm for Hyperspectral and Panchromatic Images Fusion

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Restricted by technical and budget constraints, hyperspectral (HS) image which contains abundant spectral information generally has low spatial resolution. Fusion of hyperspectral and panchromatic (PAN) images can merge spectral information of the former

Cognitive Functions of Patients with Post Stroke Depression: Comparative Study on Executive Functions, Processing Speed, and Episodic Memory [PDF]

open access: yesNeurology Letters, 2023
Background: Post-stroke cognitive impairment (PCI) and depression (PSD) are among the most common sequelae of cerebrovascular accidents (CVA). The current study aimed to investigate the cognitive impairment of CVA and PSD patients in comparison with ...

Domain-General Cognitive Skills in Children with Mathematical Difficulties and Dyscalculia: A Systematic Review of the Literature

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2022
Mathematical performance implies a series of numerical and mathematical skills (both innate and derived from formal training) as well as certain general cognitive abilities that, if inadequate, can have a cascading effect on mathematics learning.

The Relationship between Physical Activity, Self-Perceived Health, and Cognitive Function in Older Adults

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2021
There are consistent associations between physical activity and self-perceived health. However, it is not clear whether associations between self-perceived health and participation in physical activity could be accounted for by associations with ...

The TAZRP speed process

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Henri Poincaré, Probabilités et Statistiques, 2021
In [AAV] Amir, Angel and Valk{ó} studied a multi-type version of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) and introduced the TASEP speed process, which allowed them to answer delicate questions about the joint distribution of the speed of several second-class particles in the TASEP rarefaction fan. In this paper we introduce the analogue
