Acta Brasiliensis, 2023 Os monogenoideas são em grande parte ectoparasitas conhecidos por suas infestações em ambientes de piscicultura, encontrado em brânquias de peixes. A fauna de monogenéticos de P. nigricans, seja em ambientes naturais ou artificiais, foram relatados, porém poucos estudos abordaram o estudo de comunidade e distribuição da fauna desse ectoparasito.

Environmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 1, January–February 2026.This study used environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding to assess vertebrate biodiversity in headwater streams of the Rio Santo Antônio basin, southeastern Brazil, a tributary of the Rio Doce. A total of 119 vertebrate OTUs were identified, with oxidation–reduction potential emerging as the strongest environmental predictor of species richness.
