The Presentation of Changes in Preferences by Dynamic Scaling
Dynamic scaling is a set of methods in which the geometrical representation of the similarity data for T different time periods is made. This article presents the use of two-dynamic scaling methods for studying changes in the preferences.

Abstract This study explored the facial impressions of attractiveness, dominance and sexual dimorphism using experimental and computational methods. In Study 1, we generated face images with manipulated morphological features using geometric morphometrics. In Study 2, we conducted eye tracking and impression evaluation experiments using these images to

Orthogonal Trace-Sum Maximization: Applications, Local Algorithms, and Global Optimality
This paper studies a problem of maximizing the sum of traces of matrix quadratic forms on a product of Stiefel manifolds. This orthogonal trace-sum maximization (OTSM) problem generalizes many interesting problems such as generalized canonical ...

Exploring dietary adaptations in Ursus minimus: a 3D geometric morphometric analysis of the mandible
Using 3D geometric morphometrics, the dietary adaptations of the extinct Auvergne bear (Ursus minimus) are analysed. Its mandibular morphology aligns more closely with omnivorous rather than insectivorous bears, challenging current ideas. The extinct bear Ursus minimus, which lived in Europe during the Pliocene and possibly Early Pleistocene, is ...

Using 3D morphometrics quantifies genetic contribution to head and face development. ABSTRACT Phelan–McDermid syndrome (PMS) frequently presents with distinctive facial features, although a typical facial phenotype for this condition has not been well characterized.

DIMENSIONALITY REDUCTION WITH IMAGE DATA [PDF]
A common objective in image analysis is dimensionality reduction. The most common often used data-exploratory technique with this objective is principal component analysis. We propose a new method based on the projection of the images as matrices after a
