Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi density on growth and metabolism of Handroanthus serratifolius (Vahl) S.O. Grose seedlings

open access: yesPhysiologia Plantarum, Volume 175, Issue 6, November/December 2023., 2023
Abstract Studies on the relationship between Handroanthus serratifolius and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are limited in the literature. The influence of AMF spore density on plant development is fundamental information to determining the degree of benefits in this relationship. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the effects

Sleeping accommodations for researchers increase the likelihood of biodiversity inventories in protected areas 在保护区内为科研人员提供住所,可增加创建生物多样性名录的可能性

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 62-68, March 2023., 2023
Biodiversity assessments are needed to better understand biodiversity distribution and threats in parks. Our results showed that arthropod inventories are more likely if park accommodations are available for researchers. Small investments in providing accommodations may increase biodiversity assessments in parks.

Local knowledge, know‐how and knowledge mobilized in a globalized world: A new approach of indigenous local ecological knowledge

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 2, Issue 3, Page 527-543, September 2020., 2020
Abstract More than 30 years after the 1988 Declaration of Belém, which we can consider an important outcome of socio‐environmental movements, this reflexive paper proposes new ways of approaching indigenous local knowledge (ILK) related to the living environment and understanding its relevance in times of global socio‐environmental crisis. Drawing upon

Xanthone and Flavone Derivatives as Dual Agents with Acetylcholinesterase Inhibition and Antioxidant Activity as Potential Anti‐Alzheimer Agents

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a multifactorial neurodegenerative disorder that is associated with the elderly. The current therapy that is used to treat AD is based mainly on the administration of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors. Due to their low efficacy there is a considerable need for other therapeutic strategies.
