Betahistine dihydrochloride quantitative determination in dosage forms by the reaction with sodium 1,2-napthoquinone-4-sulphonate

open access: yesZaporožskij Medicinskij Žurnal, 2018
, Objectives. Spectrophotometric method is one of the most convenient methods in pharmaceutical analysis, as it is sensitive, precise and cost effective.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Normal and Reverse Flow Injection Analysis Methods for Estimation of Mesalazine in Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2023
Determining the actual amounts of active ingredients in various pharmaceutical commercial forms is still receiving a lot of attention. Two flow injection analysis (FIA) methods were suggested for determination of mesalazine (MES) in pharmaceutical forms.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

From orientation to transformation: Linear and additive paths of eco-innovation and circular economy practices toward sustainable performance

open access: yesSustainable Futures
This study explores how firms transform environmental orientation into circular economy (CE) practices through two forms of eco-innovation: eco-product and eco-process innovation.

The product of linear forms over function fields

open access: yesScience China Mathematics
The aim of this paper is to study the product of $n$ linear forms over function fields. We calculate the maximum value of the minima of the forms with determinant one when $n$ is small. The value is equal to the natural bound given by algebraic number theory. Our proof is based on a reduction theory of diagonal group orbits on homogeneous spaces.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Moments of the Dedekind zeta function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study analytic aspects of the Dedekind zeta function of a Galois extension. Specifically, we are interested in its mean values. In the first part of this thesis we give a formula for the second moment of the Dedekind zeta function of a quadratic ...
