Reference-Vector Removed Product Quantization for Approximate Nearest Neighbor Search

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This paper proposes a decorrelation scheme based on product quantization, termed Reference-Vector Removed Product Quantization (RvRPQ), for approximate nearest neighbor (ANN) search.

Diffusion Product Quantization

open access: yesCoRR
In this work, we explore the quantization of diffusion models in extreme compression regimes to reduce model size while maintaining performance. We begin by investigating classical vector quantization but find that diffusion models are particularly susceptible to quantization error, with the codebook size limiting generation quality.

Optimized product quantization

open access: yes, 2020
-Product quantization (PQ) is an effective vector quantization method. A product quantizer can generate an exponentially large codebook at very low memory/time cost.

Pyramid Product Quantization for Approximate Nearest Neighbor Search

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Product quantization (PQ) is a widely adopted technique for efficient approximate nearest neighbor (ANN) search in high-dimensional spaces, offering a favorable balance between accuracy and memory efficiency. However, standard PQ suffers from high online

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Asymptotic Quantization of a Particle on a Sphere

open access: yesQuantum Reports, 2023
Quantum systems whose states are tightly distributed among several invariant subspaces (variable spin systems) can be described in terms of distributions in a four-dimensional phase-space T∗S2 in the limit of large average angular momentum. The cotangent

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

PIECEWISE UNIFORM PRODUCT POLAR QUANTIZATION

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computing, 2014
In this paper, simple and complete asymptotical analysis is given for a piecewise uniform product polar quantizer (PUPPQ) with respect to mean-square error (MSE) i.e. distortion (D). PUPPQ is based on uniform product polar quantizers. PUPPQ consists of L different uniform product polar quantizers.
