Weak associativity and deformation quantization

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2016
Non-commutativity and non-associativity are quite natural in string theory. For open strings it appears due to the presence of non-vanishing background two-form in the world volume of Dirichlet brane, while in closed string theory the flux ...

Digital Microneedles for Multiplexed Transdermal Sensing via Fluorescent QR Codes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Digital fluorescent microneedles encode biochemical information in skin into scannable QR codes through threshold‐activated probes that generate binary on/off signals. By transforming analog fluorescence into discrete digital patterns, this platform enables calibration‐free, multiplexed transdermal sensing of physiologically relevant biomarkers ...

Canonical quantization of a string describing N branes at angles

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2014
We study the canonical quantization of a bosonic string in presence of N twist fields. This generalizes the quantization of the twisted string in two ways: the in and out states are not necessarily twisted and the number of twist fields N can be bigger ...

Evaluation of Product Quantization for Image Search [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Product quantization is an effective quantization scheme, with that a high-dimensional space is decomposed into a Cartesian product of low-dimensional subspaces, and quantization in different subspaces is conducted separately. We briefly discuss the factors for designing a product quantizer, and then design experiments to comprehensively investigate ...

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Chiral Microneedle Arrays With Terahertz Chiroptical Activity With Chiral‐Plasmon‐Chiral‐Phonon Resonance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microneedle arrays (MNAs) is a rapidly emerging technology with broad biomedical applications in drug delivery and biosensing. With sub‐millimeter dimensions and periodicity, MNAs possess geometries nearly ideal for biomedical devices operating within the terahertz (THz) spectral window.

Three Natural Generalizations of Fedosov Quantization

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
Fedosov's simple geometrical construction for deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds is generalized in three ways without introducing new variables: (1) The base manifold is allowed to be a supermanifold.

Gravitational edge modes, coadjoint orbits, and hydrodynamics

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
The phase space of general relativity in a finite subregion is characterized by edge modes localized at the codimension-2 boundary, transforming under an infinite-dimensional group of symmetries.

Joint Quantizer Optimization based on Neural Quantizer for Sum-Product Decoder

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
A low-precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is required to implement a frontend device of wideband digital communication systems in order to reduce its power consumption. The goal of this paper is to present a novel joint quantizer optimization method for minimizing lower-precision quantizers matched to the sum-product algorithms.

Inverse Design of Amorphous Materials With Targeted Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AMDEN is a diffusion model framework for the inverse design of amorphous materials with targeted properties. By incorporating Hamiltonian Monte Carlo refinement into the denoising process, the framework overcomes the challenge of generating thermally relaxed disordered structures.
