Segmentation-free Word Spotting for Handwritten Arabic Documents

open access: yesInternational Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence, 2016
In this paper we present an unsupervised segmentation-free method for spotting and searching query, especially, for images documents in handwritten Arabic, for this, Histograms of Oriented Gradients (HOGs) are used as the feature vectors to represent the

Product Quantization using Regression

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Technology and Exploring Engineering, 2020
Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) has developed an immense demand for many tasks. This ANN methodology was being used for product quantization. These product quantization methods were being used for e-commerce sites. However, this quantization maybe sometimes misleading due to a lack of accuracy in technique. So, we managed to increase the accuracy of

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

HiHPQ: Hierarchical Hyperbolic Product Quantization for Unsupervised Image Retrieval

open access: yes
Existing unsupervised deep product quantization methods primarily aim for the increased similarity between different views of the identical image, whereas the delicate multi-level semantic similarities preserved between images are overlooked.

4.6-Bit Quantization for Fast and Accurate Neural Network Inference on CPUs

open access: yesMathematics
Quantization is a widespread method for reducing the inference time of neural networks on mobile Central Processing Units (CPUs). Eight-bit quantized networks demonstrate similarly high quality as full precision models and perfectly fit the hardware ...

Field theories on ρ-deformed Minkowski space-time

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study one-loop perturbative properties of scalar field theories on the ρ-Minkowski space. The corresponding star-product, together with the involution are characterized from a combination of Weyl quantization and defining properties of the convolution

Weaving Intelligence: Thermally Drawn Multimaterial Fibers Toward AI‐Enabled Smart Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally drawn multimaterial fibers are rapidly advancing as intelligent structural units for next‐generation smart textiles. Integrating multimaterial architectures with neuromorphic and spiking‐neural‐network principles enables fabrics that can sense, compute, and adapt autonomously.

Weyl quantization and star products

open access: yesJournal of Geometry and Physics, 1997
It is well known that many nonlinear systems arise as the symplectic reductions of some linear ones. The authors construct a canonical star product for a given nonlinear system using the Weyl-Moyal product of its corresponding linear part. Via the same ideas they give an algebraic approach to Berezin quantization.

Designable van der Waals Crystal for Artificial Neuronal Cell Mimicking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Designable van der Waals crystal has been demonstrated for device‐scale neuronal cell mimicking. The structural similarity between ion‐channel in biological membranes and layered vdW lattices is realized with nano‐crystallization via Ar + H2S plasma sulfurization.
