We study the coordination of production and shipment schedules for a manufacturer.Both inbound and outbound transportation schedules are considered.The objective is to minimize the sum of inventory holding and transportation costs.Properties of the solution space, lower bounds are developed; a heuristic is proposed for large-size instances.
