Separability Restrictions in Multi-output Technologies
In this note, we review how to derive restrictions on multi-output technologies from different separability assumptions, along with their parametric representation for two of the most popular flexible functional forms (translog and normalized quadratic).

Hydrogen Production with Membrane Systems
It is well-known that hydrogen is conventionally produced via reforming of fossil fuels in large-scale plants. Apart from small-scale hydrogen production from renewable energy sources (mostly using electricity from renewable sources), more than 80% of ...

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Distinguishing Different Industry Technologies and Localized Technical Change [PDF]
This contribution is based on the notion that different technologies are present in an industry. These different technologies result in differential “drivers” of economic performance depending on the kind of technology used by the individual firm.

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
