Azaporphyrinoid‐Based Photo‐ and Electroactive Architectures for Advanced Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐standing collaboration between the Torres and Guldi groups has yielded diverse azaporphyrinoid‐based donor‐acceptor nanohybrids with promising applications in solar energy conversion. This conspectus highlights key molecular platforms and structure‐function relationships that govern light and charge management, supporting the rational design of ...

Triple bottom line space: productivity paradoxes in FM [PDF]

open access: yes
Purpose / Theory: To argue that the "productivity nut‟ means cracking FM thinking rather than external measurements. FM is not sexed-up building services engineering – it should return to its roots and consider how it impacts on particular businesses ...

Nominal and Real Convergence in Estonia: The Balassa-Samuelson (dis)connection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The objective of the paper is to analyse the nominal and real convergence process in Estonia drawing on the Balassa-Samuelson (B-S) framework. A 15-sectoral breakdown for GDP and a 5-digit level CPI data disaggregation with over 260 items is used for the

Integrating Vibrio natriegens for Photon Manipulation in Living Lighting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Rationalization of genetic and material engineering tools has enabled the engineering of fluorescent Vibrio natriegens (V. natriegens) to fabricate straightforward, highly emissive and stable V. natriegens‐silicones color filters for the first red‐emitting bacteria‐hybrid light‐emitting diodes. This pinpoints V. natriegens as a high‐performance protein

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

Nurturing of Plantlets Using Cut Pieces from the Storage Roots of Sweet Potatoes (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.) and their Productivity in the Field

open access: yesPlant Production Science, 2000
A new nurturing method was studied using pieces cut from storage roots to reduce the time-consuming and laborious works (raising, preparing, and transplanting of cut sprouts), which accounts for about 60% of the total working hours in sweet potato ...
