Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Leading singularities and chambers of Correlahedron

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In this paper, we explore the chamber dissection of the loop-geometry of Correlahedron, which encodes the loop integrand of four-point stress-energy correlators in planar N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills.

The product of linear forms over function fields

open access: yesScience China Mathematics
The aim of this paper is to study the product of $n$ linear forms over function fields. We calculate the maximum value of the minima of the forms with determinant one when $n$ is small. The value is equal to the natural bound given by algebraic number theory. Our proof is based on a reduction theory of diagonal group orbits on homogeneous spaces.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Contributions to the essential dimension of finite and algebraic groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Essential dimension, introduced by Joe Buhler and Zinovy Reichstein and in its most general form by Alexander Merkurjev is a measure of complexity of algebraic objects such as quadratic forms, hermitian forms, central simple algebras and étale algebras ...

Stability Indicating RP-HPLC Method for Estimation of Fexofenadine Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Formulation

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2012
A stability-indicating HPLC method was developed and validated for the quantitative determination of fexofenadine in tablet dosage forms. An isocratic seperation was achieved using a Zorbax, Eclipse XBD, C-8 Column having 150 x 4.6 mm i.d., 5 µm particle

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Determination of Cholesterol Oxidation Products in Meat Products by Saponification at Room Temperature Combined with Gas Chromatography-Quadrupole-Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
In view of the diverse forms and unstable properties of cholesterol oxidation products (COPs) in meat products under specific conditions, a sample pretreatment technology, saponification at room temperature, was established for the accurate detection of ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
