Gels for CO2 Profile Modification
SPE Enhanced Oil Recovery Symposium, 1988ABSTRACT A recent study (SPE paper 16728) described a preliminary investigation of the effects of some commercial gelants on reduction in CO2 permeability. That paper presented a method for examining gelant systems by vial tests, core tests, and two-dimensional, flow visualization studies in high-pressure, glass micromodels.

An Informatics Pipeline for Profiling and Annotating RNA Modifications
2021While over 150 distinct types of chemical modifications are known to occur on various cellular RNAs and can be dynamically controlled, the function of most of these modifications remains poorly defined. Collectively, these RNA modifications have been recently termed the "epitranscriptome".

Advances in the profiling of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modifications
Biotechnology Advances, 2020Over 160 RNA modifications have been identified, including N7-methylguanine (m7G), N6-methyladenosine (m6A), and 5-methylcytosine (m5C). These modifications play key roles in regulating the fate of RNA. In eukaryotes, m6A is the most abundant mRNA modification, accounting for over 80% of all RNA methylation modifications.

Microbial Profile Modification With Spores
SPE Reservoir Engineering, 1996Summary To overcome the shortcomings of conventional, near-wellbore profile modification methods, a microbial profile modification (MPM) method with spores was investigated. A halotolerant, spore-forming mesophile was isolated and characterized.

On the modification of cam-type profiles
Mechanism and Machine Theory, 1986Abstract Cam-type motions are increasingly being used in many dynamical systems to move loads with smooth starts and stops. In the area of high-speed cam design itself, the control of residual vibrations is important. In both these instances cam-type profiles must be judiciously selected or altered.
