Influence of 3D Printing Parameters on ULTEM 9085 Mechanical Properties Using Explainable Machine Learning

open access: yesSPE Polymers, Volume 7, Issue 4, October 2026.
An explainable machine‐learning framework predicts complete stress–strain behavior and key mechanical properties of FFF‐printed ULTEM 9085 from four printing parameters. Extra Trees delivered the most accurate and stable predictions, while SHAP and LIME clarified how each parameter influences material performance.

Scalable Spray Processing Resolves the Dimensionality–Transport Trade‐off in Lead‐Free Indoor Photovoltaics

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 20, 26 October 2026.
A solvent‐ and halide‐mediated crystallization strategy overcomes the trade‐off between structural reconstruction and vertical charge transport in spray‐deposited Cs3Sb2I9–xClx absorbers. Controlled phase evolution avoids detrimental crystallographic texture while suppressing self‐trapping and extending carrier lifetimes, enabling efficient vertical ...

Influence of Viscous Dissipation on Wear Behavior and Hardness Evolution of Tool Steels in Glass‐Fiber‐Reinforced Polymer Processing

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 10, Page 5090-5102, October 2026.
Tool steels tested under injection molding conditions with glass‐fiber‐reinforced polymers, revealing how viscous dissipation drives hardness loss, even in PM grades. A sharp rise in wear with increasing injection volume rate and thermomechanical load uncovers striking material differences.

Stress‐Programmed Microcrack Networks in Gallium–Carbon Nanotube Thin Films for Plasma‐Active and Electroresponsive Antibacterial Interfaces

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Drying‐induced stress and rolling‐assisted sintering program hierarchical microcrack networks into ultrathin gallium–carbon nanotube (Ga/CNT) films. Crack‐bounded gallium microdomains preserve mechanically repairable conduction, while crack edges and junctions are proposed to localize the electric field: atmospheric plasma emission intensifies with ...
