Improved Fourier-transform profilometry

Applied Optics, 2007
An improved optical geometry of the projected-fringe profilometry technique, in which the exit pupil of the projecting lens and the entrance pupil of the imaging lens are neither at the same height above the reference plane nor coplanar, is discussed and used in Fourier-transform profilometry.

Urethral pressure profilometry

International Urogynecology Journal, 1991
Urethral pressure profilometry has gained widespread usage in the diagnosis and clinical investigation of those patients with incontinence. This article aims to demonstrate the wider range of uses to which this technique has been applied and questions whether the underlying assumptions regarding its use are valid. Indeed is it a clinically useful tool?

Multichannel 3D profilometry

SPIE Proceedings, 2001
With the increasing demand for micro-products and bioengineering research, resolutions of profiles with micrometer or even nanometer scale are becoming commonplace. In addition development of large integrated manufacturing systems and the real time life science growth and adaptation need high-speed display and real-time inspection.

Optical micro-profilometry for archaeology

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
A quantitative morphological analysis of archaeological objects represents an important element for historical evaluations, artistic studies and conservation projects. At present, a variety of contact instruments for high-resolution surface survey is available on the market, but because of their invasivity they are not well received in the field of ...

Two-dimensional phase-measuring profilometry

Applied Optics, 2005
An improved method is proposed to perform contouring of an object based on phase-measuring profilometry with a grid grating. Two phases unwrapped in perpendicular directions are obtained with the help of an adaptive bandpass filter and are used to unwrap the phases and to appoint the edge points of a shaded area and the object area.

Urethral pressure profilometry in mares

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1987
Summary A technique was developed for recording urethral pressure profiles (upp) in mares. Profiles were obtained from 12 clinically normal mares and from 3 mares with urinary incontinence. Variables measured on the profile included intravesicular pressure and maximal urethral closure pressure.

Optical reference profilometry

Optical Engineering, 2001
The optical reference profilometer is a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) configuration that utilizes a special optical referencing frame to provide a stable and accurate surface measurement. This referencing frame provides several mechanical advantages that make it possible to use lower precision mechanical components while still maintaining high ...
