The CRL7FBXW8 Complex Controls the Mammary Stem Cell Compartment through Regulation of NUMB Levels
In breast cancer (BC), NUMB loss of function (LOF) is common and mainly driven by protein hyper‐degradation. The CRL7FBXW8 complex is the E3 ligase responsible for NUMB degradation. Inhibition of CRL7FBXW8 in NUMB‐LOF BC cells restores NUMB levels, and decreases the number of cancer stem cells and tumorigenic ability in vivo. Targeting CRL7FBXW8 offers

Multigenerational and Transgenerational Effects of Dioxins [PDF]
Dioxins are ubiquitous and persistent environmental contaminants whose background levels are still reason for concern. There is mounting evidence from both epidemiological and experimental studies that paternal exposure to the most potent congener of ...

Engineered Tissue Models to Decode Host–Microbiota Interactions
Host–Microbiota interactions in the human body. Created in BioRender. Ghezzi, C. (2025) https://BioRender.com/ihivskg. Abstract A mutualistic co‐evolution exists between the host and its associated microbiota in the human body. Bacteria establish ecological niches in various tissues of the body, locally influencing their physiology and functions, but ...

IYPt is a highly polar, nonlinear triatomic molecule [PDF]
An explorative quantum chemical study of the triatomic molecule IYPt, its isomers, group 17 congeners, and dimer is carried out. The results indicate that IYPt is a ground-state singlet with a bent geometry and a large electric dipole moment of magnitude 4.8 D.

Timing of maternal exposure and fetal sex determine the effects of low-level chemical mixture exposure on the fetal neuroendocrine system in sheep [PDF]
We have shown that continuous maternal exposure to the complex mixture of environmental chemicals (ECs) found in human biosolids (sewage sludge), disrupts mRNA expression of genes crucial for development and long-term regulation of hypothalamo-pituitary ...

Possible Effects of Persistent Organic Pollutants on Steroid Hormone Homeostasis in House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) from Helgeland, Norway [PDF]
Over the last decades, declines have occurred in the range and abundance of several passerines and farmland bird species and even though several possible causes have been suggested, the exposure to environmental contaminants and intensification of ...

This study aimed to clarify the epidemiology of hemorrhoids by leveraging a comprehensive nationwide healthcare claims database in Japan. By analyzing invasive treatments for hemorrhoids over a 5‐year period (2018–2022), we identified key demographic patterns, including distinct bimodal peaks in incidence among males and females, and highlighted ...
