Patterns of Tree Species Abundance and Diversity on Urban Sidewalks in Macapá, Amapá, Brazil
Ecological Research, Volume 41, Issue 2, March 2026.This study presents the first systematic inventory of street trees in Macapá, Northeastern Brazilian Amazon. Results reveal a dominance of exotic and fruit‐bearing species, low tree density, and a replacement of large canopy trees by smaller ones, indicating potential losses in ecosystem services and the need for more biodiversity‐focused afforestation

New Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 1, Page 369-387, July 2025.Summary The butterfly‐shaped keel flower is a highly successful floral form in angiosperms. These flowers steer the mechanical interaction with bees and thus are hypothesized to accelerate pollinator‐driven diversification. The exceptionally labile evolution of keel flowers in Papilionoideae (Fabaceae) provides a suitable system to test this hypothesis.
