ABSTRACT Generating pre‐designed vectorial beams via on‐chip devices can yield many fascinating applications, but traditional diffraction‐based devices are bulky and inefficient. While plasmonic metasurfaces exhibit ultra‐compact sizes and deep‐subwavelength resolutions, their working efficiencies are limited by metallic losses.

Engineering and Tuning of High Quality Hexagonal Boron Nitride Nanophotonic Resonators
The manuscript explores nanofabrication protocols for photonic crystal cavities and microdisk resonators from hexagonal boron nitride. High Q cavities are fabricated and their resonances are controllably tuned. The work is important for future realization of quantum technologies with hexagonal boron nitride.

This work presents a NURBS‐enabled metasurface design framework that combines freeform meta‐atom parameterization with Transformer‐based deep learning. Micrometer‐sized flower‐shaped metamaterial magnetic flux concentrators are fabricated directly around nano and micromagnetic samples, enabling local field enhancement.
