Oncologic Emergencies: Immune-Based Cancer Therapies and Complications [PDF]
Cancer therapies have undergone several recent advancements. Current cancer treatments include immune-based therapies comprised of checkpoint inhibitors, and adoptive immunotherapy; each treatment has the potential for complications that differ from ...

The convergence of radiation and immunogenic cell death signaling pathways. [PDF]
Ionizing radiation (IR) triggers programmed cell death in tumor cells through a variety of highly regulated processes. Radiation-induced tumor cell death has been studied extensively in vitro and is widely attributed to multiple distinct mechanisms ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Widespread Hypertrophic Lichen Planus following Programmed Cell Death Ligand 1 Blockade
Hypertrophic lichen planus (HLP) may not have the typical histological findings of lichen planus and often mimics squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Distinguishing between the two can pose a diagnostic challenge.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Glycosylation and stabilization of programmed death ligand-1 suppresses T-cell activity [PDF]
AbstractExtracellular interaction between programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) and programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) leads to tumour-associated immune escape. Here we show that the immunosuppression activity of PD-L1 is stringently modulated by ubiquitination and N-glycosylation.

Expression of PD1 and PDL1 as immune-checkpoint inhibitors in mantle cell lymphoma
Background Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) has remained incurable in most patients. The expression of PD-L1 as a prognostic and predictive marker has not been fully evaluated in MCL.
