A review of the equine suspensory ligament: Injury prone yet understudied
Abstract The suspensory ligament (SL) is a key component of the elaborate and highly adapted suspensory apparatus in the horse. In addition to contributing to stabilisation of the metacarpophalangeal joint, the SL has a spring like function to reduce the energetic cost of locomotion.

Hydromethylthionine sustains truncated tau‐dependent inflammation‐lowering effects in mouse brain
Hydromethylthionine (HMT) is an inhibitor of tau protein aggregation, but one that appears to be affected in subjects already receiving symptomatic treatments for dementia, such as memantine. We found that HMT decreased both tau aggregation and neuroinflammation in transgenic mice in a manner that was unaffected by memantine.

Natural aminosterols inhibit NMDA receptors with low nanomolar potency
Misfunction of N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate (NMDA) receptors is associated with many brain disorders, making them primary targets for drug discovery. Trodusquemine and other natural aminosterols inhibit NMDA receptors with low nanomolar potency through binding to the cell membranes followed by interaction with the channels.

Advancements in multiple sclerosis
Abstract The global prevalence of multiple sclerosis (MS) is increasing, and early diagnosis and treatment is essential in mitigating disability. While recent therapeutic advancements have significantly reduced relapse rates, the progressive and degenerative aspects of MS continue to pose major challenges.
