Redefining Therapies for Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis: Synergistic Effects of Antimicrobial Peptides, Nanotechnology, and Computational Design

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Both STAT3 activation and cholesterol efflux contribute to the anti-inflammatory effect of apoA-I/ABCA1 interaction in macrophages

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2016
ABCA1 exports excess cholesterol from cells to apoA-I and is essential for HDL synthesis. Genetic studies have shown that ABCA1 protects against cardiovascular disease.

Age-related differences in the cytokine profile in the lungs of Syrian hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus) infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Cytokine profile and age play a significant role in COVID-19. A hyperinflammatory response caused by proinflammatory cytokines can lead to cytokine storm and tissue damage. And the levels of interferons, which play an essential role in antiviral immunity,

Celiac Disease Pathogenesis: The Proinflammatory Cytokine Network

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 2008
ABSTRACTIn susceptible individuals, the adaptive response, mediated by the activation of antigen‐specific T lymphocytes, drives a proinflammatory response, which ends in an immune‐mediated enteropathy characterized by villous atrophy, crypt hyperplasia, and recruitment of intraepithelial lymphocytes. In addition, some gluten peptides are able to induce
