Time series analysis of animal bite cases attending anti-rabies clinic

open access: yesJournal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, 2022
Background: Rabies is a disease transmitted mostly through animal bites in humans, and seasonal variation in animal bites has been reported by different studies.

Sur le traitement des vins aux échangeurs d'ions

open access: yesOENO One, 1972

Impact of human papillomavirus vaccine on cervical cancer epidemic: Evidence from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results program

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2023
IntroductionSince 2006, the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine has been recommended for females aged 9–26 years in the United States. Aiming to evaluate the early effect of the HPV vaccine on cervical cancer, this study assessed the incidence of cervical

Comments on orientifold projection in the conifold and SO x USp duality cascade [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We study the O3-plane in the conifold. On the D3-brane world-volume we obtain SO x USp gauge theory that exhibits a duality cascade phenomenon. The orientifold projection is determined on the type IIB string side, and corresponds to that of O4-plane on ...

DOMESTIC DEMAND ANALYSIS FOR THE AVAILABILITY OF CLEAN WATER AT MAULAFA DISTRICT

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Sipil, 2022
The rapid population growth of an area is usually followed by an increase in water demand. The current availability of water is not necessarily able to meet the increasing demand for clean water.

Project Planning, Project Success and Project Risk [PDF]

open access: yesGlobal Social Sciences Review, 2019
We are investigating the relation of project planning with project success and introduce project risk as a moderator. We examines how different dimensions (organizational, people, technical and technology, project management, economic and stakeholder) of project risk determine this relationship.

In order to improve the efficiency of core physical uncertainty analysis based on sampling statistics, the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and Galerkin projection method were combined to study the application feasibility of reduced-order model based on POD-Galerkin method in core physical uncertainty analysis. The two-dimensional two group TWIGL benchmark question was taken as the research object, the key variation characteristics of the core flux distribution were extracted under the finite perturbation of the group constants of each material region, and the full-order neutron diffusion problem was projected on the variation characteristics to establish a reduced-order neutron diffusion model. The reduced-order model was used to replace the full-order model to carry out the uncertainty analysis of the group constants of the material region. The results show that the bias of the mathematical expectation of keff calculated by reduced-order and full-order models is close to 1 pcm. In addition, compared with the calculation time required for uncertainty analysis of full-order model, the analysis time of reduced-order model (including the calculation time of the full-order model required for the construction of reduced-order model) is only 11.48%, which greatly improves the efficiency of uncertainty analysis. The biases of mathematical expectation of keff calculated by reduced-order and full-order models based on Latin hypercube sampling and simple random sampling are less than 8 pcm, and under the same sample size, the bias from the Latin hypercube sampling result is smaller. From the TWIGL benchmark test results, under the same sample size, Latin hypercube sampling method is more recommended for POD-Galerkin reduced-order model.

Between the Profiles Pay Per View and the Protection of Personal Data: the Product is You

open access: yesAdvances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal, 2017
Perhaps in the past was difficult to imagine that the moment in which someone could register each purchase that has been made, each book that has been read or each thing that has been said would come.

Projects, Project Capabilities and Project Organizations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This chapter clarifies our understanding of the project-based firm (PBF) by sharpening the theoretical foundations of project capabilities. It emphasizes the differences between project capabilities that eliminate variance in project outcomes (to control costs and add value) and economies of scale that reduce costs across multiple projects.
