Analytic projective geometry for computer graphics

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science
The motivation of this paper was the development of computer geometry course for students of mathematical specialties. The term “computer geometry” hereafter refers to the mathematical foundations of machine graphics.

Synthesis of Modeling, Visualization, and Programming in GeoGebra as an Effective Approach for Teaching and Learning STEM Topics

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
GeoGebra is an interactive geometry, algebra, statistics, and calculus application designed for teaching and learning math, science, and engineering. Its dynamic interface allows its users to accurately and interactively visualize their work, models, and

Analytic projections, Corona problem and geometry of holomorphic vector bundles [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Mathematical Society, 2008
The main result of the paper is a theorem giving a sufficient condition for the existence of a bounded analytic projection onto a holomorphic family of generally infinite dimensional subspaces (a holomorphic sub-bundle of a trivial bundle). This sufficient condition is also necessary in the case of finite dimension or codimension of the bundle.

Project-Based Learning in Analytic Geometry Courses to Support Student’s Mathematic Communication Skill

open access: yesTarbiyah : Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan, 2023
This research aims to design project-based learning in analytical geometry learning to develop students' mathematical communication skills. This research is motivated by the reluctance of the majority of students to express their opinions during class learning.

GeoGebra in Project-Based Learning (Geo-PJBL): A dynamic tool for analytical geometry course

open access: yesJournal of Technology and Science Education, 2022
The integration of learning models and software is a trend in mathematics courses. However, no existing learning model for geometry courses involves the students in the making of a tool or media project. The researchers noticed the potential of the project-based learning (PjBL) model and GeoGebra in analytical geometry courses.

Geometric Representations of Interacting Maps

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2010
Tropical geometry is a kind of dynamical scale transform which connects automata with real rational dynamics. Real rational dynamics are deeply studied from global analytic viewpoints.

Does any convex quadrilateral have circumscribed ellipses?

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2017
The past decades have witnessed several well-known beautiful conclusions on four con-cyclic points. With highly promising research value, we profoundly studied circumscribed ellipses of convex quadrilaterals in this paper.

Nonexistence of Homogeneous Levi-Flat Hypersurfaces in CP2

open access: yesMathematics
We investigate the longstanding question of whether compact Levi-flat hypersurfaces exist in the complex projective plane CP2. While the nonexistence of closed real-analytic Levi-flat hypersurfaces in CPn for n>2 is well known, the case n=2 remains open.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
