Pseudo-effectivity of the relative canonical divisor and uniruledness in positive characteristic [PDF]

open access: yesÉpijournal de Géométrie Algébrique
We show that if $f\colon X \to T$ is a surjective morphism between smooth projective varieties over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>0$ with geometrically integral and non-uniruled generic fiber, then $K_{X/T}$ is pseudo ...

Phytocenotic and hydrochemical conditions of the new localities of Aldrovanda vesiculosa (Droseraceae) in Chernihiv Polissya

open access: yesUkrainian Botanical Journal, 2020
Aldrovanda vesiculosa is a rare stenotopic species threatened due to destruction of its biotopes. Since the species is protected nationally and internationally, monitoring of its populations is required. Information on growth conditions of A.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Evaluation of grass mixtures of a lawn type in the conditions of forest-steppe of the Middle Volga region

open access: yesАграрная наука Евро-Северо-Востока, 2021
In 2019-2020, the quality of lawn-type grass mixtures based on creeping clover (Trifolium repens L.), meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis), pasture ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and meadow bluegrass (Poa pratensis) was evaluated in the conditions of the forest ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Classes of modules closed under projective covers

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
In this work, we study some classes of modules closed under submodules, quotients, and projective covers, even if the left projective cover of an arbitrary left module not always exists. We obtain a characterization of artinian principal ideal rings when

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

On the validation of spatial statistical vegetation models

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2019
The features of coefficients of determination and coefficients of leave-one-out method for spatial vegetation model and spatial models of squared deviations are discussed. The properties of models are illustrated in key area for spatial model of Cladonia

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
