Integrating the Projective Transform with Particle Filtering for Visual Tracking
This paper presents the projective particle filter, a Bayesian filtering technique integrating the projective transform, which describes the distortion of vehicle trajectories on the camera plane.

Flat-Parallel Minkowski Space and β-Change with α,β-Metric
The purpose of this paper is to examine the condition for a Finsler space with a generalized α,β-metric to be projectively flat. In addition, we establish that the Finsler space with generalized α,β-metric is a flat-parallel Minkowski space and derive ...

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.

Projective crystal symmetry and topological phases
Quantum states naturally represent symmetry groups, though often in a projective sense. Intriguingly, the projective nature of crystalline symmetries has remained underexplored until very recently.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Geometric structures for maximal representations and pencils
We study fibrations of the projective model for the symmetric space associated with $\operatorname {\mathrm {SL}}(2n,\mathbb {R})$ by codimension $2$ projective subspaces, or pencils of quadrics.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
