Microbiological, Molecular Diagnosis and Antimicrobial Resistance of Bordetella bronchiseptica in the Equine Reproductive Tract in Brazil. [PDF]
First report of Bordetella bronchiseptica in the reproductive tract of Brazilian mares. Uterine lavage samples from mares with endometritis and infertility were positive by culture, PCR (237 bp flaA), sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. Isolates showed multidrug resistance, emphasizing the relevance of this pathogen in equine reproductive disorders ...

Comparative Genomics of Pinna rudis and Pinna nobilis Reveals Conserved and Divergent Features of the Bivalve Defensome. [PDF]
We present the first high‐quality annotated genome of Pinna rudis and an updated genome assembly for Pinna nobilis, two Mediterranean fan mussel species differentially affected by mass mortality events. Comparative genomic analyses of gene sets associated with the “defensome” show that these genes are largely functionally conserved between the two ...

Spectroscopy and Conformer-Selective Photoelectron Circular Dichroism of Chiral Molecules. [PDF]
Photoelectron circular dichroism (PECD) is a forward–backward asymmetry in the angular distribution of the electrons emitted by a chiral molecule ionized by a circularly polarized light (CPL). Its sensitivity to conformation is studied by one‐photon or resonance‐enhanced two‐photon ionization, the latter being conformer‐selective.

On the Nutritive Value of Proline and Oxy-Proline
