Assessing the ability of large language models to summarize and generate maxillofacial prosthetic treatment options

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The aim was to evaluate the ability of four large language models (LLMs) (OpenAI's ChatGPT‐3.5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, DeepSeek‐R1, and Google Gemini 2.5 Pro) to develop treatment options when presented with clinical cases published in the maxillofacial prosthodontics literature.

Global analysis of thermal and chemical denaturation using CheMelt: Thermodynamic dissection of highly thermostable de novo designed proteins

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract De novo protein design often produces thermostable proteins that denature above 100°C, which complicates the analysis of their stability. Thermostable proteins can be unfolded by combined chemical and thermal denaturation followed by global analysis of multiple melting curves.

Unfused transverse foramen of the atlas vertebra in the Neandertal lineage fossils

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 10, Page 2989-2997, October 2026.
Abstract In anatomically modern humans, the atlas can display an unfused transverse foramen (UTF) but currently the presence of UTF in the Neandertal lineage is uncertain due to a scarcity of prevalence studies and no exhaustive record of its presence throughout the entire hominin fossil record.
